Major event of the year, this scientific meeting encourages the interactions and exchanges between the main actors of the Health and Biology axis in Montpellier.

This meeting is a great opportunity to push forward the PhD students and to contribute to their training in a friendly setting. Anyone interested can present their research work with a poster or a short oral communication is invited. These presentations will be organised in several sessions, moderated by researchers and prizes will be awarded to the best presentations.

The CBS2 Day also represents an unique opportunity to gather every actor from the different laboratories linked to the CBS2 Doctoral School and welcome internationally renowned speakers. This event is therefore a major opportunity to train the next generation of researchers, meet the PhD students and their supervisors, discuss about multiple research topics and possible experimental problems, enlarge our knowledge to different fields and get informed on the work possibilities available after a PhD thesis.

This year, the CBS2 day will put scientific popularization under the spotlight. We are inviting three specialists of this area for a special session.

All the Master students, PhD students (either presenting their work or not) and any member of the scientific community interested in Health and Biology are welcome. The registration (including coffee breaks, buffet and cocktail, access to the closing party) is free but mandatory.

Supported by : Ecole Doctorale CBS2, BioCampus, Université Montpellier, Pôle Rabelais, Labex EpigenMed, IMGT, MRI, RHEM, Cisbio, Amylgen, Janvier, Genopolys, CNRS, INSERM

Registration only

Registration is free but mandatory. You will then receive automatically the detailed program once it is validated.

Abstract Submission

| Terms of submission and presentation | An Oral presentation and a poster presentation respectively validates 10h and 5h of training for the PhD students.

Abstract size is limited to 300 words. English is mandatory for abstract submission AND for the presentations on the CBS2 Day. Detailed instructions (time of the day and duration of the presentation, poster size…) will be given in April after registration and presentation selection.

| Selection procedure | Poster presentations are automatically accepted but for logistic reasons, only a limited number of oral presentations will be selected. A « Flash Talk » presentation followed by a presentation by Poster will be offered to non-selected candidates for oral presentation. For oral presentations, priority will be given to 2nd and 3rd year PhD students who never presented their work in the CBS2 Day.

| Prize | A independent Jury composed of 36 specialists of each research area will be in charge of the anonymous selection of abstracts and will award the best presentations (talk and poster) during the CBS2 Day (First and second place prizes during the previous editions : Travel Grant, Microsoft Surface Pro computer, Samsung Tablet, GoPro camera, Nikon Coolpix camera, …). PhD Students in the organizing committee and having had no connection with the jury will be eligible for prizes and oral presentations in the same way as other PhD Students. The Jury will be neutral as well as with the organizers of the CBS2 Day than with PhD students they know.
